flight physiology course

Trinity Air Ambulance International’s Flight Physiology Course is recognized by the State of Florida, Department of Health, Bureau of EMS and conducted every three months at our airport facility. This course is designed to provide participants with information on the art and science of transporting critical patients via helicopter and fixed wing aircraft. Emphasis is placed on the autonomy and responsibility of caring for patients under advanced protocols during short and long distance transport.

During the two day course the material covered

includes:

  • Physical gas laws
  • Stresses of flight and altitude
  • Patient assessment, preparation and care
  • Documentation and communications
  • Safety considerations
  • Critical care monitoring
  • C.V. assist devices
  • Transport ventilators, and much more....             


Intended Audience:
Physicians, Nurses, Paramedics,
and Respiratory Professionals interested in
working as flight crew medical personnel.

Continuing Education:
16 Continuing Education Units are provided at the completion of the course.

Trinity is a Florida Board of Nursing approved CEU provider, and reports CEU's directly to CE Broker.
